Thomas was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia’s capital. He went to a mission school and finished high school in Toronto, Canada.
He then attended the University of Oklahoma finishing his B Arch in Architecture and moved to northern California for opportunities. Thomas worked there for seven years where he also received his professional architectural license, met his wife, experienced the Loma Prieta earthquake (magnitude 6.9), and moved back to Malaysia in 1995.
He then worked in one of the largest architecture firms in Malaysia for seven years. Was head-hunted for a job with a telecommunications company (telco) in 2001 as their Corporate Architect and then again headhunted again for another telco in 2004. Then was offered a position as Country Manager with his previous architecture firm to be based in Abu Dhabi UAE where he was designing and managing projects for one of the princes from the royal family.
Thomas moved over to Australia in 2010 and joined the Perfect Practice family in October of that year. 9 years later, he continues to design outstanding practice environments for our clients every day.
